Non-traditional Collection
For simplicity, we designate design styles which are not distinctly Tibetan as non-traditional. The broad-spectrum of design in this category ranges from modernist to floral to aboriginal. Many traditional designs exhibit a strikingly contemporary sensibility and can be brought forward with only slight adjustments to design and color.
Contemporary rugs often echo historic motifs. Nature, dreams, indigenous cultures, architectural styles, even the interior of a Japanese sea-chest can inspire the design.
