Ganado style, New Mexico:    The famous trader Juan Lorenzo Hubble named the region for his friend the Navajo chieftain Ganado Mucho (Spanish for many cattle.) The rug that came to be associated with this name featured a brilliant red background surrounded by strong geometric crosses, diamonds, and stripes or smaller forms, utilizing aniline dyed black, and natural grays and white wool.
